Therapy and counseling in Davis for adults with Complex PTSD, Attachment Wounding, PTSD, Panic, and Depression
It’s been too much for too long
You can’t face another day.
Every morning is a struggle. Facing what you have to do today sits heavy on you before your feet even hit the floor. You don't have the capacity for it. Sometimes the overwhelm gets so big you don't know where to start, so you don't. Instead you pick up your phone and scroll.
And there are the things you try to ignore: the nightmares, the intense rapid emotional reactions, the anger, despair, panic, the thoughts about how easy it would be to give up.
You have tried everything. The exercise, the doctors visits, the self help books, the apps, coaching, the vacations. But nothing is cutting it.
You can’t believe this is your life, it wasn’t supposed to be like this.
And yet you are still holding on.
You still have a little hope although it is almost gone. And there is good reason for your hope: complex PTSD, attachment wounding, and trauma are all treatable and you don’t have to do it alone. Many options exist including EMDR, IFS, DNMS, Cognitive Processing Therapy supported by DBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Polyvagal Theory. You can begin to see change and progress in a few sessions.
My approach
Hi, I’m Jean. I offer therapy and counseling in Davis for people who feel just like this. This is not therapy where you talk about your problems for an hour and leave feeling a little lighter. This is deeper work. Together we look at what is actually underneath the stuckness, the patterns and blocks that have been running quietly in the background, often for years, shaping everything without your awareness.
In person sessions
Safety and connection
Gentleness and honesty

Appreciation of complexity of each person’s identity
Personalized approach
I obtained my Masters in Social Work in 2011 following a career in policy and strategy. I am originally from Scotland and as an adult moved to France and then the US.
In my free time I enjoy paddleboarding, playing piano, reading, dancing, and deep conversations.
For our work, I will use EMDR, IFS, DNMS, and Cognitive Processing Therapy supported by DBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Polyvagal Theory and just simple time spent with you to get you where you need to be.
